Numbers and safety on
Sunday’s
The large
number’s turning up on a Sunday can present a few problems in maintaining
safety to all those who attend. One of the biggest problem’s is juniors
running across courts. It is important that everyone goes around
the courts if moving from one end of the hall to the other, otherwise there
could be a nasty collision or even a racket related injury following a clash
with those playing on the court. The coaches would appreciate co-operation in
this matter.
This
will provide the club a great club identity and ownership for all club members.
Any queries speak to Phil at the club session for
orders (delivery due end of January).
This season is the first time for many years that a junior badminton
league has been ran, there are only four junior club teams this season, with
many other clubs looking to join in the 2009-10 season.
The team player squad representing the club are as follows: Emma
Darlow, Matthew Tout, Jonathan Tout, Haibo Li, Elliot Clarke, Dani Szucs, James
Darlow, Ciaran Dunseith, James Spencer, Ethan Nath and Vivian Lawrence.
The results so far are as follows:
Colmers V Knowle – Won 5-1
Solihull
& Shirley – Lost 4-2
Colmers V Solihull & Shirley – Lost 6-0
Colmers V
All players are learning and experiencing match environments and playing
their best against the other teams , although two teams are quite strong.
The last remaining 4 team player squads will be chosen in preparation of
the last remaining fixtures in January and February, with Phil selecting the
strongest 8 players for each of the matches in early next year.
